Day 87 Three Day Weekend!!! Woohoo

Was forced out of work early tonight and it's a 3 day weekend for me! Woohoo!

I'm planning to go to yoga in the a.m. and then be out in the yard (supposed to be beautiful!!!) and start prepping for my garden.

Day 67, Finally Feeling a Little Better

Feeling a little better tonight finally. I rested all day and missed church. I did go to work, but again wanted to call in. This cold has just knocked me for a loop! Ugh!

I need to get feeling better. I need to get back on my bike and start practicing the mountain bike trail for the race next month!!!

We'll see!!

Aaron's watching Fast and the Furious right now...he's gearing up for the 4th Fast and Furious..it's with the cast from the first. He's soooo excited! :-)

Day 66...FUNNY STORY!!!!!!

So, I'm horribly sick. I was supposed to help a good friend of mine's in-laws move....but I just couldn't! I'm feeling a little better this evening, but I still feel like crap!

But, I dragged my carcass into work today, and I'm soooo glad I did!! Here's the funniest damn story! I think this is the best check-in story I've ever had!!

Alright, so I'm checking in a lady at work today and she mentioned she was at The Emergency Room. I asked her what happened.

She looked sheepish, and then her friend interjected with this:

She was at 7-11, and they were having a Slurpee. The woman drank the Slurpee too fast, had a brain freeze and fainted.

When she fell, she broke her nose and hit her head!

HAHAHHAHAHA!!! The only reason I'm laughing is because she's okay. Alright, if she wasn't okay, I still would have laughed my head off!!!

And yes, true story, you can't make this stuff up!!!

Well, that's it for now, so I'm going to hit the hay!!!

Day 65 An Interesting Phone Call....

So, I'm at work, and I left my cell in the car. On my lunch, I went to go retrieve it. Right as I pick it up, the phone rings.... (I'm in italics, the other person is in BOLD)

This is a new number for me (about 3 months), but the previous owner was a guy named Mitch. But there was just too many weird similarities to not be someone I know....and she could have got my number from a few places. And I couldn't call back b/c it was a restricted #...so, wow....

Day 64 VERY Tired, But Fun Day!

...Well sorta. I had a lot planned, and then Xander woke up at 3 a.m. and didn't go back to bed for me when I was able to sleep.

I went to Yoga, and physical therapy...both times he was asleep, once with Gma and the other, Aaron.

I was able to finish canning the rest of my cans, (they let me after I told them they shorted me 10 cans). So, I finished canning and took it back.

We ate lunch at the park and played until I was dizzy from lack of sleep. Finally we went home, and while I was taking care of some more things at home, he feel sleep.

I tried to sleep, but it was so late, that I only got about 15 mins before heading out the door for relief society. But we had so much fun!! We played board games and it was sooo much fun.

Then, when I got home, Xander was FINALLY awake and bright-eyed and bushy tailed...I'm thinking great, another late night.

But, I had to swing by the hospital, my neighbor just had neck surgery...she's a really woman, and I'm trying to work hard to smash her previous reserves about Mormons on how their family was treated, especially b/c they are interracial. Who cares??!!

And then I took another cat nap and we went and saw the midnight showing of Monsters Vs. Aliens. It was so freaking funny!!!

And I keep falling asleep and typing....

Day 63....Canning

So, I finished all of my canning for my food storage.....well, all that I COULD. I paid for 98 cans, lids, etc. And I only received 88 cans and 93 lids. So, I couldn't finish it all.

But I had fun. A friend stopped by and we talked while our sons played and Aaron was asleep. She would hand me lids. :-)

Anyhoo, that's about it. I'm tired, I've been up since 6 this morning. I'm tired!!!

Nights in Rodanthe...**Spoil Alert**

Okay, so I NEVER saw the Notebook, well I fell asleep watching it. And when I woke up, Aaron was in tears...so I've refused to watch it ever since, b/c I HATE TO CRY!! Not b/c of it itself, it gives me a horrid migraine afterwards.

So, Nights in Rodanthe came out and it sounded like a nice, sappy movie. Oh my goodness!! She FINALLY finds happiness and true love, and he dies!!! Are you freaking kidding me?!

And I know the gist of Notebook, she has Alzheimer's and he's telling the story of them, and then they die at the end together. REALLY!?

I asked Aaron what was wrong with this guy, he said, "He's just a romantic..." I looked at him and said, How is this romantic? Did the guy get dumped and now wants everyone else to be miserable? B/c that's how the movie ended. I mean, yeah, she changed her life around...but he still dies and they can't be together for a very long time.

And now I'm trying to watch some old Law & Order SVU episodes, and I can't find it on that new Hulu.com. So, that makes me pissed. And I'm usually not home on Tuesdays, so I was all excited about getting to watch it tonight...yeah, not on tonight, so now I'm extra pissed. *oh well!*

But Nights in Rodanthe, not a cool movie! Avoid it! *Hisses*

Day 61

Well, still have the fun cold. I'm having a sinus headache. blah!

I was running to Costco, and had an eye on a spot...well, some chick beat me to it. I was like, agh! But I saw a spot right across from there. While I was backing in, I looked at the woman that just got out of the car...it was an old friend from church who I hadn't seen in forever!!

I roll down my window and holler at her. We laughed and hugged. It was good to see her again! :-)

I just need to get my canning done. I have only two more days. :-)

Day 61...still sick

But it's a three-day weekend, so I'm looking on the bright side of it, especially since I'm drugged on cold meds and Aaron just rented Nights in Rodanthe and bought a big package of the new "Crazy Color Skittles". So, I'm going to relax, eat my candy and enjoy a movie and slowly drift off to sleep. :-)

That's about it today, just glad I'm finally warm!!

Day 59 Having a Good Night!!

So, I got into work one minute late...oh well!!

I started the day off by sleeping in. I was supposed to get up early and go biking. Yeah, that didn't happen until 2 p.m. lol. And when I got up to the biking trail, the wind was blowing soooo hard, that I barely made it anywhere. I finally gave up. It was a warm day, but the wind was a cold wind, and every time I breathed through my nose, I'd get an instant headache. Not fun in my book.

And then, I was heading home, I started getting dizzy...yeah, just ate an orange before going out....I know, stupid me!! So, I got home and ate some soup, that helped me! I dozed and then went to work.

Work was great! We were busy, and plus I made about $125 in upsells!!! That is only $25 short of my monthly goal. I didn't get this month's goal, only $104, but I think the month before covered it! lol

I got off an hour early and it's snowing outside! I loved it! I love being caught in a big snow storm, huge flakes flying EVERYWHERE!!! I was in the parking lot and actually started laughing out loud, good thing know one was around to hear me! :-)

And another cool thing, I have a friend who is wonderfully talented at words and imagery, and she is dabbling at song writing. She sent me a part of a piece she came up with and it's absolutely wonderful!!! I hope to start collaborating with her. I think it'd be fun!!!

Day 58, Sore!

My neck's really sore. I can barely move it. Not fun. They said storm this weekend. Yup. I hate that my body's a natural barometer.

Aaron and Xander are sick....or maybe allergies, I have no idea.

All I know is that it was a long day at work and I want to eat some ice cream, go to bed and hopefully go biking tomorrow and test out the mountain bike path.

Day 57, Tired...

Just tired tonight. I didn't get anything done I wanted to. I worked last night, and that just threw EVERYTHING off for me. *sigh*.

I did get to borrow the canner this week from the cannery, so let's hope!!!

My bike was $30 more than they quoted me for a tune up...so, that kinda put a damper on things. The cans for all my dry storage was $90. Good thing we had some savings!!! :-)

I did take my bike out for a spin, it's doing wonderfully!!! Yeah!!!

So, now it's time to try and get the crazy one to bed. He hasn't had a nap today and just won't stop whining. Time to engaged.

Day 56...If You're Going To Have a Battle of Wits....

....for heaven's sake, please come prepared!!!

I was enjoying my day off with Xander after having a 42 hour week. (which awesome, not complaining at all!!!)

We went to the Dentist, both got clean bills of health! Xander did great! Me? I have one cavity...woohoo.

I was checking out the Mountain Bike Trail in Hidden Valley (for the corporate competition). I got lost, and I remembered where some friends lived, so I stopped by for help and a hi! I had to cut it short b/c work called.

They were short and needed help. So, I came in. I have a 3 day weekend next week, so I said sure!

Long night, on lunch, I went with a co-worker and we had a TON of fun hitting golf balls into the lake. It's called Aqua Bay Golf. Anyhoo, fun!

Then, on my way out the door, I run into a security guard there. Nice guy, a little weird, but nice. We talk. Well, last week he gave me this scripture verse to read. I had no idea what he was talking about. I had some time tonight, so I asked him. He went off on all directions, not letting me get a word in edge wise or anything!!! He would say REALLY far-fetched things. And when I countered him on it, he would go off in another directions. Finally, I threw up my arms and said something along the lines of "We're not going to agree, let's leave it at that."

He then said, "I know, you're tired, it's late, it's not going to sink in until later."

I turned around and looked at him and said, "Oh no, it's sunk in. I just REALLY don't agree with you."

He just shook his head as in a "Oh, you poor ignorant girl" and I walked off.

I was soooo pissed at that point! He really just wasn't making sense.

Anyhoo,

I have visiting teaching tomorrow, and then I get the canning gear from the cannery to can all my dry goods in the garage. I'm very excited!!!

Day 55: 10 Goals Completed!!!

I'm sooo excited!! I was just updating everything, I have completed 10 goals already! Yea me!!!

I'm still working on more, and I tweaked a few. We'll see how they go!

Oh! And I did a shoulder stand for 15 seconds today in Yoga....it might not seem like a long time, but for someone who wasn't flexible the least bit a couple months ago, this is HUGE!!!

It's the weekend! Woohoo!!! And my dear friend Maggie is coming up (Xander's Godmother, who's also preggers!!! yea!) and I get the canner from the cannery to finish up my canning!! I'm so excited! Busy weekend for me!!

And now I'm having asthma, so off to go wire myself up and then try to sleep. This ought to be fun!!!

Day 54 Tired and Drugged

I hate allergies. I do have to say part of it is my fault. I was in Sacramento and it was a beautiful day in full bloom....I should know better.

So now, Xander and I are both drugged on Benadryl. Woohoo.

Day 53, I Snuck Into a Concert!!! Music, Music, Music!!

First of all, my kiddies did so well at church today singing! I was so proud of them!! :-)

I had to go to work today, something I haven't had to do in a while. Which, for me is a catch 22. I don't get to be with my boys on Sunday evening, but I'm making money. I don't like it one bit!

But, the cool thing was Grammy Award Winning Ladysmith Black Mambazo played tonight. I was able to sneak in on my lunch break and see them! I got there right as they were singing my fav song that they sing and it's "Homeless" it was co-written by Paul Simon, something I didn't know! Any ways, I was able to watch about a half hour or so before I had to run downstairs and eat. But they were fantastic!!

I went outside and was looking at the merchandise, and I asked how much a cd was. He said b/c I was an employee, it would only be $10. So, I bought it. I listened to it on the way home and love it! They do a song with Sarah McLaughlin (Homeless, my fav), Melissa Etheridge (Diamonds in the Souls of Her Shoes....another great one!) and even Emmy Lou Harris! Yeah, it's awesome!

And to top it off, the leader and founder of the group Joseph Shabalala lost his key, and I got to meet him! The guy that sold me the cd came up with him and he goes, "Hey! I just sold you a cd!" and then I saw Joseph and went, "Oh my goodness! You guys were just great!" he was very humble about it and just merely said a thank you, and glad you enjoyed it. Type thing.

For those who do not know who they are, Ladysmith Black Mambazo they are an African
A Capella group. And they are freaking awesome!!

Then my boss was asking church questions, and we had so much fun talking about it! She's almost golden!!!

And an added bonus, I got to teach a theory lesson to my co-worker. I'm such a music nerd! lol

Day 52...I think...lol

So, worked for 11 1/2 hours at work! *sigh* I had fun, but boy, am I tired and sore!!

I did finish a song I've been trying to write for literally 2 years. I knew what the title was, and what it was about, but every time I wrote about it, I didn't like it. So, I was getting off, and sat in the car and within fifteen min, had an AWESOME song!! Woohoo!!

Aaron took Xander to the monster trucks tonight! THey had a ball! Xander waited up to tell me all about it!!

Well, I have to finish up some primary stuff tonight, the kiddies are singing in sacrament tomorrow and it's ward conference, so we have the stake evaluation too. yippie!

Day 51, Pierced My Ear...AGAIN!!!

*whew!* the day went by so fast today!!! I had a two visiting teaching appointments, and then, I went and got my ear re-pierced (the cartilage part on the top left ear). I took it out a while back, and I've missed it alot.

So, we've been saving tons, and I got my rebate card in for my phone, $100 debit card. I bought the shirt in California with it, and still had plenty to get my ear pierced or highlight my hair. I really wanted to highlight my hair, but it would only last for a little while.

So, I asked Aaron, his response? "Do you really want me to answer that?" I forgot got how sad he was when I took out my earring the first time. So, I got it done and he's very happy! lol

Well, I'm exhausted and have to be to work 5 hours early tomorrow. Not to mention have to finish all my primary stuff for music time!!!

The Temple

I love the temple! It's so wonderful!!! Tonight Aaron and I rushed over to Ward Temple Night, but got there a hair too late. I got in, he didn't.

And after seeing how full the room was, which, by the way is freaking awesome! I've never seen it that full!!! I told them that Aaron and I can do something else instead.

So, we did sealings, which is always amazing...I think of it kinda as "renewing of the vows". Or the closest thing to it. It was just fun to sit there and enjoy the moment.

Didn't turn out like we planned, but it was better!!!

I also got to see some friends of mine I haven't seen for a while. I saw an old bishop of mine, he was the temple pres. and is now a sealer. So that was fun to see him again!! Saw another lady from an old ward that I was fond of. We got to chat for a minute. And also, I ran into Linda Ivey, although I usually just call her Sister Ivey. She is an amazing woman!!! Just one of those "kindred spirits" that Anne of Green Gables spoke of. The first time I met her was when Aaron and I were first married. And we just hit it off. She's just so neat!!! I know we knew each other from before.

There are certain people that in life, you just know you've known before...you share a common bond from the pre-existence. I don't know what, but I know I will find out soon! Every time I see her in the temple, her eyes just light up, she hugs me like a daughter home for the holidays and always says, "I was just thinking about you!!!" and then always, "I hope to see you here again soon!"

Day 50!!! Sacramento Trip!!!

So, my brother sent up some temple clothes that I need to exchange, and had to make a trip to Sacramento to do that (nearest place!) So I called my Aunt last week to see if we could swing down and say hi, she's about 45 min from Sacramento. She said she had to go up to Sacramento today to do the same.

So, we met for lunch with my cousin Bill who I haven't seen in about a year. It was awesome to see them!!! We visited for about an hour and ate pizza.

I returned everything I needed, got some cool stuff for singing time ideas!! I'm so excited!!!!

Xander picked out an Ammon action figure, and I instantly thought of Jan, my old seminary teacher who's favorite story is Ammon and the hacking off of arms. I still remember her imitating the hacking!!! ROFL! But we settled on my fav which is Captain Moroni. He is freakin' awesome!!!

We went to the mall afterwards, and I found a REALLY cute shirt.

I just got my rebate card back and it was $100!!! Woohoo!!! I didn't feel guilty spending part of it, b/c we have $270 in savigns already!!!! I'm so proud of us!! :-) So, for another part, I'm going tomorrow to get my ear pierce uptop again. I really do miss it!! :-)

And tonight, we're going to the temple! Yeah!!!

Day 49..Family Fun!!!

Tonight, we went "out" for dinner and to a movie. I wanted to have a sit down dinner, but the next movie time didn't allow that.

So, we grabbed Panda Express. Good stuff! Yum!!

We saw Street Fighter, the Rise of Chun Li.....It was okay. But I grew up on the Street Fighter Video Game, so had to see!!

We did see posters up for Star Trek...Oh my! I'm soooo excited!!!! I'm a Trekkie minus the geeky parts. I don't go to the conventions, I need subtitles when they speak Klingon and don't wish I was exploring space...well, the last part, okay, it'd be fun. I'm REALLY looking forward to it.

I did take Xander earlier to see Bed Time Stories...it was really cute! It's at the $3.00 theater at my work, so it was fun!

And now, I'm off to Sacramento in a few hours. Better get some sleep!!!

Day 48...tired and wired

Ok, so can't sleep. yea!

I was wondering about my friend today, the one who is on Meth. I think she's mad at me, which is really sad. I've done nothing but love her.

She asked who told me what was going on with her. I told her that I figured it out on my own (even though her friend told me...didn't want to get her in trouble.). Then she retored back, "so, what do you thinks wrong with me?"

I told her she was on drugs, don't know what kind though. I told her that I loved her, and I'm here to help, though she has no reason to get mad at me over anything. I've kept some secrets that she's told me. We've hung out outside of work. It just really saddens me.

I'm awaiting a response, though I don't know if I'll get one.

Drugs suck!!!

Day 47! One More Goal Done!

I took all the toys Xander doesn't play with and put them in a tupperware container! I finally finished purging Xander's Room! Woohoo!!!

Next is just to paint it!!! Yikes!

Day 46...tired

I'm just tired today. Doing all that painting really just wore me out. Hopefully I'll rest up tomorrow.

The cool thing is though, I've been really wanting a Breast Reduction (I'm a size HH...yeah...I know.) I had Cigna insurance...and they refused...which I was really sad about.

Well, we've changed to Aetna. So, I'm going to try again! Maybe these guys will approve it!!! I would really like it!!

My kiddies in Primary are doing awesome with their songs!! We're singing "I Love To See the Temple." next Sunday for Ward Conference (tomorrow's stake conference). We practiced today for it, and they are so good!!!! I'm sooo proud of them!!! :-)

Day 45: I F*cking Hate Meth...

So, I just found out a friend of mine has been on Meth for a few months. And once her friend told me she was on Meth....EVERYTHING made sense! I was so pissed at myself why I didn't connect all the signs. Probably b/c I've never had a friend with a Meth problem.

But, I'm just wish she'd let me help her. I think she thinks that b/c I'm LDS, that I'm going to judge her...trust me, I would have judged her a long time ago for being bisexual....but I haven't. I've grown quite fond of her.

I just wish she'd see all these people that want to help her. Instead, she sees her dealers as, "awesome fun people who party."

I've glad she's getting out of Reno for a while. She's going to live with her sister for a while back east. Hopefully she'll get better before she completely throws her life away.

So, I F*cking hate meth...there's no other way to describe it....It's such a vial drug. It does so much to you in such a short time.

Day 43 and 44..more goal done!

I'm so excited! I just looked over my list, and I have 8 goals already completed! Woohoo! I'm getting there!!!

I helped Aaron with his school, he just graduated!! I just painted the bathroom, and am almost done with all the touch up! Then next is the kitchen! Good thing it's small!!!

Alright, time for a nap!!! I'm tired!!!!!!!

Day 41 and 42...Painting!

So, I'm trying to finish my painting here! Hopefully soon we'll get it done!

Which means I better get started for the day!! Woohoo!

Aaron started his road to his Bachelor's Degree today! *crosses fingers*

I am worried about a friend though, she took off, even from work. I've been trying to get a hold of her, but her phones' been turned off. The only contact I have is with her best friend....I just hope we can help her and get through to her!!

Anyhoo, off to paint!!

Day 40, nothing new

I just did some painting....well alot. It's all just touch up and tedious work, so it's taking a while, and it's making my shoulder sore. So, no more until I pick up my prescription for my drugs tomorrow.

It sucks that I have to take pain meds just so I can do simple things around the house. Aaron just asked if we could have some fun, and I said no, b/c I'm just so sore. I feel bad. Oh well, this too shall pass.

Anyhoo, going to bed now, I'm tired!

Day 39, A Long Day!!!

So, they day started like this: I finished a novel I've been wanting to read for about a year (Book 6 of a series, reading the 7th now....) and I only had about 20 pages left when my head hit the pillow around 4 a.m. And me, being the wise person that I am, said, "Oh, I can stay up! Xander will sleep in..."

HAHAHAHAHA!!!! I went to bed around 5:30, and he woke me up bright-eyed and bushy-tailed at 6:30. Usually he just comes in, cuddles up, and falls right back to sleep....nope! Not today!! So, I put in a movie, got him some juice, and dozed while he continuously kicked me by him wriggling around.

I finally gave up on sleep and got up. I then had to get ready and look at what needed to be done for painting, as my land lord is coming to fix the faucet, so I think we'd better have the painting done. lol

Also at Lowes (I returned stuff we didn't need and had a gift card to use.), there were stones for a buck a piece. They had three colors, and I took 7 of each. We needed a path that lead through the dirt all the way to the back fence. So, I'm going to mix and match. I'm very excited!!!

And the paint I bought, is just awesome! I can't wait!!!! I'm going to do green, brown and blue strips up in his room (vertical) They will match his brown and green pirate bed spread and the brown and blue pirate border I'm going to put up.

Woohoo!!! And tomorrow, is a day off, and we'll be painting!!!
